A cool and avant-garde team with a high level of training, and great experience in the sector, recognised and awarded nationally and internationally.

We are English, French, Dutch, Czech, Italian, Swedish, Argentinian, Bulgarian … and Spanish!  An experienced group of professionals with artistic and creative knowledge in fashion, theatre, film, television and training.

Each one of the “tutors” with their defined specialities assures you an integrated education and training.

Not only will they help you learn, they will also boost your enthusiasm and passion for our profession.

Antoine: From France,

Antoine has been immersed in the world of hairdressing since a very young age, when he lived in Brittany, France. His parents, uncles and aunts are all hairdressers and he regularly helped at the family hairdressers, located just below the apartment where they lived.

He trained as a professional at St Germain Coiffeur in Rennes, France, where he graduated thirteen years ago.

Antoine worked with elite hairdressers throughout France before moving to Barcelona eight years ago. He has worked for the Anthony Llobet Group for six years, and for the last five years he has been Anthony’s business partner and director of the group.

He developed his creative side as a member of the international team for Paul Gehring in Europe and for the last seven years has taught all aspects of hairdressing for renowned brands such as Schwarzkopf, Revlon and Alcina in countries such as Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, New York, Germany and Holland.

Working with Anthony Llobet as a member of TRESemmé’s Spanish Ambassador team, Antoine regularly participates in photo sessions, courses and Fashion Weeks throughout Europe.

Antoine is inspired by travel, culture and the diversity of people.

He speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish.

Jay: From England

Jay was born and raised in Greenwich, London. He trained at the legendary Academy of Vidal Sassoon in London, and has been creating and styling for twelve years.

After his initial training, he worked in prestigious hair salons across the UK, including Vidal Sassoon, Daniel Hersheson, Beverley Cobbela and later with Aveda.

During Jay’s early career he developed an authentic passion for teaching and creative hairdressing. He began as a teacher with Daniel Hersheson where he taught colour techniques and hairdressing for beginners.

Jay moved to Barcelona in 2004 and has worked with the Anthony Llobet Group since 2011.  Jay is creative director of Anthony Llobet Hair Salons and the Anthony Llobet Hairdressing Academy.

He travels regularly throughout Europe as team leader of events such as Fashion Week in Madrid and collaborating with TRESemmé in training courses and television programs.

Inspired by cinema, fashion and urban culture, Jay loves to create colour and is a specialist in Afro, colour and session work.

 

Gustavo: From Argentina

Gustavo is the lead tutor for the Barber Masterclass.

From a very young age Gustavo created hairstyles for himself and his friends. A hairdresser friend suggested that he should study hairdressing and that’s how Gustavo began his first steps towards becoming a top stylist.

He attended several training schools in Buenos Aires and after 8 years of experience working in salons, Gustavo decided to move to Europe.  He began his adventures in Mallorca, working for a renowned salon which is where he developed his skills as a barber.

After studying more, he decided to try Barcelona, which is where he works today.

He describes himself as a guy who likes to have fun, play football, listen to all kinds of music except reggae and is very hardworking.

Sofia: From Sweden

Sofia was born in a small town near Stockholm, Sweden. After finishing her hairdressing studies she worked for many years for a great, very fashionable hairdresser in the country.

Sofia specialises in colour and teaches hairdressing and makeup for events, fashion shows and weddings.

After five years working in Sweden, she moved to Barcelona where she worked as a stylist for a hair salon and also in a school teaching the techniques of colour, inspiration and styling, for both for beginner and advanced students.

Sofia has been manager of the Anthony Llobet Salon in the Borne neighbourhood of Barcelona for the past two years.

She has great talent for colours, braiding and styling, and works regularly at fashion shows and fashion shoots.

Sofia finds inspiration everywhere – On the Internet, Instagram, magazines, movies and also from people on the streets.

Sofia speaks Swedish, English and Spanish.

Fanny: From France

Fanny was born in Dijon, France, where she later studied hairdressing at a private school called Futura.  She qualified fifteen years ago.

Fanny worked for many years at Bocca Coiffeur and later at a military base where she specialised in cutting and hairdressing for men.

She has worked for the Anthony Llobet Group since arriving in Barcelona six years ago, and has been teaching professional courses and barber courses across all our salons.

Fanny specialises in both men’s and women’s hairdressing, barbering and styling techniques. She works regularly for the catwalks at fashion weeks, as well as events and weddings. She is inspired by fashion, culture and its origins, which are what brought her to Barcelona.

Simone: From Denmark

Simone is responsible for styling courses and workshops, amongst other things…

Simone dreamed of being a hairdresser since she was 6 years old.

What she likes most about this profession are updo techniques, bridal and training students.

Simone trained in Denmark at the renowned Herningholm Erhvervsskole School.

She loves the feeling she has when she teaches people and sees them learn or helps them to improve in their work and skills.

Simone likes all kinds of music especially Rock and her hobbies are sports and hairdressing.

Simone speaks Danish and English.

Alane: From France

Alane comes from Toulouse, France and is our specialist in barbering, fades, undercuts, wet shaves and beard trimming.

After his training in Toulouse and Nantes and many years experience working in salons, Alane moved to London where he acquired new techniques and more experience.

Alane comments “Hair is very important … it’s the first thing you see when you meet someone.”

He likes different types of music, depending on the occasion and his mood, the sea and surfing.

Alane speaks Spanish, English and French.

Magalie: From France

Magalie manages the upstyle courses…

At the age of 14, she began her training at the Liceo Profesional de Escultores school, which she combined with her work in salons.

Additionally she trained for 3 years in Switzerland where she later began her experience as a tutor.

After a few years training apprentices, she decided to open her own salon in Alsace, France, where she had the opportunity to participate in numerous world hairdressing contests as well as collaborating with renowned fashion photographers.

Her restless spirit made her close her own salon and begin a new adventure in Barcelona.

Passionate about dance, especially Tango, drawing, painting and contact with nature, Magalie is a real energy ball, say her closest friends.

Magalie speaks, French, German, English and Spanish.

Miquel: From Spain

From Vic in the centre of Catalonia, Miquel is responsible for our Basic courses.

After his training at the Hairdressing Workshop of Vic and extensive experience in salons across Barcelona, Miquel decided to continue gaining experience in Paris, where he developed his cosmopolitan and vital vision.

Whilst in Paris, Miquel had the opportunity to work as artistic director for the theatre piece Romeo & Juliet at the theatre Saint Germain des Prés in Paris.

Miquel loves creative hairdressing and likes to use his skills and to share knowledge.

He defines himself as very patient and according to his friends he is sensible, with his feet on the ground.  Miquel always wanted to be a sculptor and to work in art, finally choosing his favourite material – hair!

Miquel likes a mix of alternative and French music.

Miquel speaks Castilian, Catalan, English and French.

Tony: From France

Tony is one of our tutors for workshop,  photo shoots and collections.

After his training in Paris, he specialised in working with actresses and public figures.

After a few years he decided to cross the pond… the destination was Los Angeles, where he perfected his profession and work.

What he likes most about his profession is to make people happy and what fascinates him is the diversity of people, cultures and styles and that his profession allows him to experience this.

Tony is a lover of sport, music and good cuisine.

Tony speaks French, English and Spanish.

Laura: From Barcelona

Laura has worked as a hairdresser and stylist for eighteen years. She graduated from the Provincial Guild of Hairdressers of Catalonia, Spain.

After her initial training in Spain, Laura learnt colour techniques with Tony & Guy in Stockholm and London, and later, cutting techniques at the reputable Vidal Sassoon Academy in London.

Prior to joining Anthony Llobet’s team in 2015, she worked for many years as a stylist with Isaac Leblanc. Laura has taught in several schools and academies based in Catalonia and Madrid.

Laura also participates in photo sessions for magazines, catwalks, portfolios and hairdressing contests for brands such as Playboy, First Line and Salon Look.

Laura’s inspiration comes from traveling to fashion capitals.

She speaks Spanish, Catalan, Italian and English.
